Of the Filipino, for the Filipino, by the Filipino | Opinion

On the 30th of June this year, a new administration will be governing this country. This government was chosen by millions of Filipinos last May 9. However, before I talk about our new government, I'll talk about my first election experience as a new voter. I registered late because I had to weigh a lot… Continue reading Of the Filipino, for the Filipino, by the Filipino | Opinion

Dear Mr. Right,

As a daydreamer with a vivid and colorful imagination, it was hard for me to put my daydreams of my fairytale man to the side. But I am.

Itโ€™s hard.

Itโ€™s hard to truly let go, and let God work. This comes from someone who is a recovering control freakโ€ฆespecially when it comes to relationships. I wanted to control every aspect: the meeting, the pursuit, the conversation, and the timing. I was always told that my Mr. Right is somewhere out there. After all, there are plenty of fish in the sea. But I didnโ€™t want just a fishโ€ฆ I wanted my one true love and I wanted him NOW.

Dear daughters of God,

Contrary to what you have heard, I do exist. Iโ€™mย no fairytale hunk with big muscles and thing for chick flicks (although, I may or may not have a man bun). So, put your daydreams of love off to the side for a minute and let me tell you what makes me, โ€œMr. Rightโ€ and why people keep telling you to wait for me.

The first thing I really want for you to understand is that I was not born your Mr. Right. I promise we werenโ€™t destined to cross paths and lock eyes from across a crowded room and fall hopelessly in love. God has been working in my heart for YEARS! Do you realize what was in my heart before Christ saved me?! Of course you donโ€™t because we havenโ€™t met yet, but I can promise you it is equally as crazy and sinful asโ€ฆ

Kwentong Jeepney | Journal

"Siguro, rich kidย siya at di pa siya nakakasakay ng jeep." Ito yung madalas nating biro sa tuwing may nakakasalamuha tayong walang "jeepey experience" sabayan mo paa ng pagkaconyo niya. Stereotype na nga siguro na porke't mayaman, may sasakyan at di kailangang sumakay ng jeep. At dahil na rin siguro, tatak ng Pilipinas itong jeepney. Sa… Continue reading Kwentong Jeepney | Journal
