Once upon a dream | Reblog

There once
was just
this little bard
who dreamt of
being great.

A tale begins.

on an

Advent’rous soul,
explorer, he
set foot
the path.

The way
could not
see far
sought wisdom
from a muse.

Before too long
the sirens’ song
(a call not
to refuse)
led him
with no clues
into a realm
of lose.

This maze
is vast:
somewhere within
the Egress lies in coils.
Her twists and turns
this way and that
his every move
she foils.

“I must
win through!”
he gasps, with

you shall!”
comes the
“– to

our hero’s face
as ever
does he race.

Dream on,
brave soul,
his captor
for there
is no escape:
the endless depths
of death’s abyss
at the last
your hope
shall rape.

every mortal
fears to leave

Head on to this site to see blogs that you’d like to follow!

Dream Big, Dream Often

As most of my followers know I am big into helping other bloggers gain more exposure. My goal has been to grow a community of like-minded people and I am part way to my goal.  I am bringing back the open call to leave a link and I’ll share it for you!!

The basic rules are simple: leave me a link to your page.  I’m not sure it gets much simpler.  You can leave as many links as you want and I’ll cycle this post from day-to-day so more people can jump on board.  The link post I’ll create will publish on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

To Mr. Right. | Reblog

Dear Mr. Right,

As a daydreamer with a vivid and colorful imagination, it was hard for me to put my daydreams of my fairytale man to the side. But I am.

It’s hard.

It’s hard to truly let go, and let God work. This comes from someone who is a recovering control freak…especially when it comes to relationships. I wanted to control every aspect: the meeting, the pursuit, the conversation, and the timing. I was always told that my Mr. Right is somewhere out there. After all, there are plenty of fish in the sea. But I didn’t want just a fish… I wanted my one true love and I wanted him NOW.

I was impatient. I searched for love and acceptance in all the wrong places. I sought it out in people that continually failed me. I would often see a guy in Starbucks and think, “could he be…

An open letter from Mr. Right | Reblog

All the feels…

Dear daughters of God,

Contrary to what you have heard, I do exist. I’m no fairytale hunk with big muscles and thing for chick flicks (although, I may or may not have a man bun). So, put your daydreams of love off to the side for a minute and let me tell you what makes me, “Mr. Right” and why people keep telling you to wait for me.

The first thing I really want for you to understand is that I was not born your Mr. Right. I promise we weren’t destined to cross paths and lock eyes from across a crowded room and fall hopelessly in love. God has been working in my heart for YEARS! Do you realize what was in my heart before Christ saved me?! Of course you don’t because we haven’t met yet, but I can promise you it is equally as crazy and sinful as…

10 Ways to Become a Morning Person | Reblog

Ever wonder why you’re able to stay up until 2 am, while your best friend can’s make it until 10 pm? It has everything to do with your internal clock, says Tracey Marks, M.D., an Atlanta-based psychiatrist and author of Master Your Sleep: Proven Methods Simplified. “Most people’s internal clock has 24 hrs, but if it’s a little longer, then you will be pulled in the direction of not feeling tired until later and later each evening.” Don’t fret night owl—it is possible to train yourself to be more alert in the mornings than in the evenings. Here’s how.

1. Slash An Hour Off Your Day

If you want to wake up earlier, trim down those evening obligations, says Dr. Marks. We know what you’re thinking: How can I not overextend myself? “We typically overestimate how much available time we have and take on projects that we have no…
